“A Fresh Blood and NOT an Old Hat as Usual…” – West Ham Board CONSIDERS ‘One of the best young managers in Europe’ as a Possible REPLACEMENT for Lopetegui if…..

Ex-Borussia Dortmund Boss Edin Terzic Eyed as Potential Julen Lopetegui Replacement at West Ham

West Ham United’s struggles under Julen Lopetegui have sparked speculation about the manager’s future, with former Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic emerging as a potential replacement.

According to MailOnline journalist Sami Mokbel, Terzic would be open to taking the reins at West Ham if Lopetegui is dismissed mid-season. The German-Croatian tactician has support within the East London club and is available immediately after leaving Dortmund at the end of last season.

Terzic’s impressive tenure at Dortmund, where he led the team to fifth in the league and the Champions League final, has earned him recognition as “one of the best young managers in Europe.” His previous stint as Slaven Bilic’s assistant at West Ham from 2015 to 2017 also makes him a familiar face at the London Stadium.

Lopetegui’s position is precarious, with just two wins in his last nine matches and 11 points from 10 Premier League games. A defeat to Everton on Saturday would intensify pressure on the Spanish tactician, prompting West Ham chiefs to consider alternatives.

Alongside Terzic, former Brighton and Chelsea boss Graham Potter is also being considered. Lopetegui, who replaced David Moyes at the end of last season, signed a two-year deal until June 2026.

West Ham’s hierarchy is drawing up contingency plans, but Lopetegui’s immediate future may depend on the outcome of the Everton clash. With Terzic waiting in the wings, the pressure is mounting on Lopetegui to deliver a much-needed victory.
