Celtic Rank 25 Places Higher Than Rangers in Latest FIFA Rankings

The latest FIFA rankings have been released, and Celtic have emerged as the clear superior side, ranking 25 places higher than their Old Firm rivals, Rangers.

Celtic, currently competing in the Champions League, have been ranked 37th, surpassing esteemed clubs such as Feyenoord (42nd), Bayer Leverkusen (45th), and their upcoming Champions League opponents, Dinamo Zagreb (49th).

In contrast, Rangers, participating in the Europa League, have been ranked a lowly 62nd, with only Besiktas ranking below them. This significant disparity in rankings underscores Celtic’s impressive performance in European competitions this season.

Celtic’s European campaign has been marked by notable victories over RB Leipzig and Slovan Bratislava, as well as draws against Atalanta and Club Brugge. Although they suffered a heavy defeat to Borussia Dortmund, Brendan Rodgers’ side has demonstrated their ability to compete with Europe’s elite clubs.

Rangers, on the other hand, have recorded some respectable results in the Europa League, including wins over Malmo, FCSB, and Nice. However, their 4-1 defeat to Lyon at Ibrox and draw against Olympiacos have tempered their overall performance.

As both Celtic and Rangers prepare for their upcoming European fixtures, they will be seeking to build on their respective performances. Celtic face a crucial trip to Dinamo Zagreb, while Rangers host Tottenham Hotspur in a highly anticipated Europa League clash.
