Swansea City Boss Luke Williams Heaps Praise on “Fabulous” Leeds United
Swansea City manager Luke Williams has expressed his admiration for Leeds United, describing them as a “fabulous team” that will likely finish in the top two of the Championship.
Williams’ side face a daunting task on Sunday as they host Leeds at the Liberty Stadium, but the Swansea boss is undaunted, taking encouragement from his team’s recent performances.
“Leeds are an absolutely fabulous team to be quite honest at this level,” Williams said. “If you don’t look at the images of the team on the screen, and you just look at the stats and the data, they are incredible. Then if you actually open your eyes and watch them, you realise they are incredible.”
Despite acknowledging the challenge posed by Leeds, Williams believes his side can take confidence from their recent displays against top Championship teams.
“We know what we’re up against, but I think we’ve competed this season against top sides in the division better than we did last season,” Williams added. “So we have to take some confidence from that, be brave and try make a really good performance at home where we’ve been pretty good.”
Leeds manager Daniel Farke will have key players Max Wober and Brenden Aaronson available for selection after they returned from international duty. However, Junior Firpo, Ilia Gruev, Ethan Ampadu, and Isaac Schmidt remain sidelined, while Largie Ramazani is a doubt.
