“Goodbye Branthwaite?” January Exit a Possibility for Branthwaite as Expert Reveals WHY Everton will Have NO CHOICE Than to Let Him Leave…

Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite Exit Looms Amid Manchester United Interest

Everton’s defensive stalwart Jarrad Branthwaite may be heading for the exit door in January, despite the impending takeover by The Friedkin Group. Football finance expert Dan Plumley suggests that Manchester United’s interest could prove irresistible.

Branthwaite, an England international, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and Plumley believes Everton’s financial constraints could facilitate the transfer. “It could certainly,” Plumley stated.

“It’s always negotiations, so even if the takeover is through and cleared and they potentially don’t feel the need to sell in January, that may or may not make a blind bit of difference to Manchester United to go in for that player… United will still feel in that regard that there is a degree of power at their end as well in terms of drawing that player into Manchester United, particularly with his potential as well.”

Everton’s current financial situation prevents them from offering Branthwaite a new contract, making a January exit increasingly likely. Plumley added:

“There’s the player side of that as well, but from a financial point of view, the simple way of looking at it is if the takeover is still up in the air, there’s a bit more pressure on Everton to potentially sell in January, if the takeover is done and dusted that pressure may go away a little bit… I do think in either of those scenarios, we could still see a player like Branthwaite leave in January, it’s just the market and if a club like Manchester United do come in, and that is where he may want to go, that is just what happens.”

The Friedkin Group’s takeover, reportedly nearing completion, may influence Branthwaite’s future. However, Plumley’s assessment suggests that Manchester United’s interest could override any potential changes in Everton’s ownership.

Key Points:

  • Jarrad Branthwaite linked with January move to Manchester United
  • Everton’s financial constraints may facilitate transfer
  • The Friedkin Group’s takeover unlikely to guarantee Branthwaite’s stay
  • Manchester United’s interest and Branthwaite’s potential desire to join may seal deal
  • Everton’s inability to offer new contract exacerbates exit speculation
